Powerbronze Garners 62% Order Growth in US

Powerbronze International designs stylized components to customize and enhance motorbikes. It is an export-focused business with an international dealer network.

In early 2009, the company undertook a review of its export operations and strategy as it prepared to expand overseas sales operations into new territories. The company garnered considerable success in markets such as the US and Australia, with around 55% of sales originating from overseas.

In May 2009, Powerbronze approached UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) for assistance. Together, they fine-tuned the company’s international web presence, with a focus on localizing communications.

The company incorporated UKTI’s suggestions, using new techniques to drive traffic to existing international sites, while simultaneously applying these tactics to sites in new markets. Today, Powerbronze has established several additional international sites, all of which relay core information on the company and its products in local languages

By redirecting to conversions to a local US distributor for customer communication, sales and fulfillment, Powerbronze has effectively handled both staffing and local marketing needs. This expansion plan led to a 62% order growth in the US alone, following the site launch. As a result, this model is used as a template whenever the company expands to a new market.
